This vintage childrens “hand muff” was made by Merrythought during the 1960s and is in very good condition. He is made from a lovely gold coloured mohair with the central muff made from a longer cream coloured mohair (this is rather grubby and could do with a clean).
He is a rare find and is looking for a new home with a little child in time for Christmas!!
He is all original with orange/black plastic eyes and black stitched nose and mouth of a velveteen muzzle. His head and legs are stuffed with kapok stuffing and he has a bell in each ear.
He features in the teddy bear guide Teddy Bears by Sue Pearson – A Collectors Guide on page 88 priced between 250 and 350!!!
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
