Fabulous rare vintage Steiff woodpecker.
Yellow label with button on wing – 2603/28. Made in Germany.
Measures approx 32cm long. Total length inc. wood is approx 37cm.
His white bits are a tad dusty in places and could do with a freshen up. He’s also suffered an injury to his beak. Not sure if there was ever another piece or if it’s had an attempt at being glued on, but I haven’t tried and has left as is….It’s still just attached but he will need a little TLC at the ‘bird hospital’ to keep it firm and straight!
It’s been hung on the wall with a little piece of clear string but has a hole in the top of the wood to apply directly to the wall if needed.
Overall,despite his beak, he’s still in nice vintage condition and a great find…Don’t miss him!
