RARE Vintage 1950’s Irish ERRIS/TARA TOYS Mohair Opening Mouth Laughing TEDDY BEAR.Approx. 12″ tall.I think this is Freddie the laughing bear made by Tara Toys of Ireland (formerly Erris Toys). He was made early 50’s and is a very rare bear. He opens and shuts his mouth via rods running down his back, they operate when you squeeze his body.He has jointed arms and legs but a fixed head, and has glass eyes, his lovely golden mohair showing some signs of playwear.He is still quite full, 12″ tall and his pads are still in quite good condition. Any information would be gratefully received?Sold as a collector item – not a toy.Please see photos for condition as my vintage items are sold as seen.Collection is welcome from Brixworth, Northamptonshire.It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing the item to the best of my knowledge and ability.
