EXREMELY RARE,ORIGINAL BOX ONLY

ORIGINALY CONTAINED A ROULLET AND DECAMPS DANCING BEAR….who was a two-tone brown and white automaton,appx 11 inches height.*****there is an example of the bear for this box,currently offered elsewhere on eBay! *****

CARD BOX WITH RIBBING…METAL STAPLES…IN A SORT OF SANDY YELLOW COLOUR
appx 12 inches / 30 cm length
STILL HAS THE VERY DESIRABLE ORIGINAL ROULLET DECAMPS (RD) LABEL….with full printed details “FABRICATION FRANCAISE R.D…….Paris”.
LABEL ALSO RETAINS IT’S original hand written model # 642,and description appears to say”OURS DANSEUR”. (DANCING BEAR….is shown in the Roullet & Decamps 1914 catalogue as model # 642).
now around 100+ years old….box shows some expected wear and ageing…..lower box section is good solid,with some creasing/dents;outer skin nicks,perforations and writing to one end…inside is good,pretty clean with traces of original bear’s coatupper lid section with original label…..shows some creases,spliting,nicks,edge wear/tear,…with some older tape repairs to inner side(could easily be redone,as thankfully it has not been taped with sellotape etc…).
ORIGINAL BOX FOR THE ROULLET DECAMPS DANCING BEAR (of course you could use it to store any suitable size automaton from R & D.
