Rare Early Chiltern Long Nose Blonde Mohair Squeeze Bellows Musical Teddy Bear
DIMENSIONS: Approximately 19 inches long overall laid flat
ITEM DETAILS: This lovely 1930s Chiltern Teddy Bear is in good order for its age with some fairly minor seam issues in a couple of places on his limbs and worn, partially repaired feet as you can see in the photos. Also his nose stitching has largely gone and obviously the mohair has wear in line with age, especially around his tummy, but overall he’s extremely sound and bright for his age and most importantly he has a fully working squeeze bellows musical box inside which has the most rich and beautiful tone, and although I have no idea what the tune is it repeats consistently and the mechanism feels as smooth as silk. The photos tell the rest of the story and there are no other issues that I can think of, but if you have any specific questions just ask, and as always there’s a low start and no reserve so happy bidding!
