Very nice rare to find one of the earliest Chiltern Hugmee bear, dating from 1920s,
made of ‘old gold’ colour mohair, stuffed with kapok and wood-wool throughout the body and wood-wool in the head,
fully jointed,
original clear and black glass eyes with remains of brown painted backs,black vertically stitched nose with outer stitches pointing up and
inverted Y shape mouth stitching might be and old replacement,
original velvet pads in very good condition, just a bit dusty,feet reinforced with cardboard,
four claws stitching to each limb,
has got inoperative cardboard squeaker in tummy.
Teddy Bear is approx. 15″ tall.
Condition – item is in very good antique condition with minor general wear.
