You don’t see these little bears very often Especially with the earlier “Royal Warrant” to HM the Queen label which dates him anything from 1938/52 when she became the Queen MotherThis is on his right leg and he has a small frayed chest label saying HYGIENIC TOYS – MADE IN ENGLAND – CHAD VALLEY CO LTD
This could make him up to 78 years old! He is made with a soft pile material – possibly Artsilk – which was originally in pale blue and creamThe blue has now faded which gives him an overall creamy colourHe has a very good covering all over but there are some marksCubby is 11″ seated. His legs are fixed but his head and arms moveThere are claw stitches missing on one arm/paw and he has replacement blue felt pads His eyes and nose stitching are original
All in all a very sweet little ted who would make a lovely addition to any hug
