An adorable, much-loved early American rare brown mohair teddy bear, standing 44 cms (17″) tall. She has a cute squashy muzzle where her woodwool has settled – and one of ankles too, is likewise slightly floppy. Only stubs remain of her cream nose and mouth stitching, and her shoebutton eyes have probably been re-attached in the past, and also her ears.
Fully-jointed, teddy has a few cream claws still intact and, although she has some patchy mohair loss, this is mostly to the top of her head, and a small area to her back. Overall, her fur coverage is plentiful and she’s a very sturdy bear with some weight to her. This engaging character is dressed in her antique American cotton-print jacket trimmed with rik-rak braiding, and pinned with a vintage red jewelled brooch and tassel. Thanks for looking!
