This little cat was probably made by the German firm of Einco. And dates from the 1920’s or 30’s. He has large white glass eyes with green threaded irises and black pupils. He has a pink embroidered nose and claws. And a black zig zag mouth. His ears are made of felt and his mohair was probably white originally. There is a press squeaker which no longer squeaks next to his tail. His front legs are wired so they can move position. He measures 23cm from the tip of his paws to the end of his tail and 16cm from his base to the top of his head. He is play worn but in quite good condition for his age. The felt ears are slightly nibbled around the edge. The mohair is patchy in parts. And he could do with the odd stitch between his legs. He has been in my collection for many years, but the time has come to downsize hence the sale. Anyone interested outside of the UK please apply for postage costs.

VINTAGE MERRYTHOUGHT LIMITED EDITION CHEEKY TEDDY BEAR ‘ICE CREAM SUNDAE’ BOXED

This limited edition Merrythought Micro Cheeky bear is called ‘Ice Cream Sundae’ and
is either number 377 or 378 of 500 depending which label you read. There is an original
price tag on the box of 59.00

He stands at just 6″ tall with pink, yellow and cream mohair and is in excellent, near
mint condition with all his orginal features intact and is complete with his box and labels.
The only disparity is that his foot label reads Nos. 378 and his box label reads No. 377?

This little Merrythought Micro ‘Cheeky’ bear is being offered

CUTE LITTLE OLD VINTAGE ANTIQUE MERRYTHOUGHT CHEEKY TEDDY BEAR C 1960s SOFT TOY

This little Merrythought Cheeky bear dates to the early 1960’s and is just 9″ tall
and completely stuffed with kapok. Cheeky has been loved and is a bit raggedy on his left ear
which has a hole that has frayed at the edges and has lost the bell but he is still in overall
good condition with all his other original features intact. He has approximately 80% coverage
of his golden mohair with some overall thinning and small bare spots which are mostly along
the seams. He is a little bit dusty and could possibly do with a brush to fluff him up a little.

His paw pads are in generally good condition with one small hole on his left paw and very
slight thinning to the felt on his right paw with three intact claw stitches on each pad. His
printed label reads ‘MERRYTHOUGHT IRONBRIDGE SHROPs MADE IN ENGLAND’ and he dates to
the early 1960’s. You can see from the photos that he is a very cute loking little chap and he
would make a wonderful companion to sit in the lap of a larger bear or alongside your toys.
