Oscar is a wonderful of bear who has lain unloved in an attic – hence his slightly shocked and overwhelmed expression at finally being free. He is a big chap – 25 inches tall – and very heavy so can only be sent within the UK. I am pretty certain he is an old Chad Valley – there is an outline of what I think is a label to his foot and he has a bit of old fabric to his side – no wording can be seen on it – but he has all the hallmarks of an old Chad – I’m sure he was jolly handsome in his day!
Oscar is fully jointed and a mix of woodwool and kapok stuffed – he is very solid – and very heavy. He has lost a lot of mohair and what remains needs a clean – he needs someone patient and loving to spend time cleaning him up – having said that he is not smelly and has nothing nasty lurking – he has just clearly lived in an attic for far too long.
Oscar’s eyes are replacements as are one of his footpads and half of the other but otherwise he is original. He has quite a sad look about him so it would be lovely to see him go to a good home where he could be loved and treasured as he deserves – he will come as pictured in his dungarees xxxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
