Georgeous little 1930’s Chiltern Hugmee ‘Panda’ teddy bear.
This sweet looking Chiltern panda dates to circa 1930’s and is just 13″ tall
and stuffed with kapok in his body and wood wool in his head and he is
five ways jointed so he can be nicely posed and although he has been loved,
he is still in very good condition with all his original features intact. There
are some holes in the black felt patch behind his left eye but this is the
only actual damage I can see and he is a rare find in this condition.
He has a very good 99% coverage of his black mohair and a marginally
sparser 95% coverage of his creamy white mohair with just slight overall
thinning. He could do with a light surface clean as he is a little grubby
and to fluff him up a bit but he doesn’t smell bad.
His soft cotton pads are very good with a little surface pilling but no holes
or damage and he has 4 white claw stitches on each pad. He no longer has his
label but he has the typical look of a Chiltern Panda Bear with lovely
proportions and a gentle, shy and expressive face and he would
make a lovely addition to any hug.
Chiltern pandas are much harder to find than their teddy bears
and are very sought after and this lovely chap is being offered
with a very reasonable ‘buy it now price’ but as ever,
I am open to all sensible offers.
