Old Antique Vintage Teddy Bear For TLCJohnny is a dear old vintage antique teddy bear who is about 12 inches tall, and 9 inches seated. He was made by Farnell as far as I can tell, and has the remains of a blue and red label stitched into his front. This would date him to around the 1950s or 60s or so.He has amber and black coloured lock in safety eyes which look to be original and a hand stitched nose and mouth. There is a small stitch above his nose which looks rather like a mole ! He has a straw filled snout, and is soft filled throughout the rest of his body. He is fully jointed with good joint connections for his age, but of course they are a little looser than they used to be. Johnny has a fairly good coverage of cream/off white plush which has a light age related tinge to it , with some bald patches here and there. There are visible seams and stitch work also. His paws are threadbare , and there is very little of the original cotton left. A large amount of his soft filling is showing through. I had intended to replace them , but never got around to it unfortunately. So he will definitely need some TLC there. He will come wearing his handmade jumper and tatty tartan scarf which I think suits him rather well.He is no longer suitable as a toy. He is a collectors item only.
