LOVELY OLD VINTAGE 14″DEAN’S MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR WITH BELL IN LEFT EAR & ORIGINAL MAKERS LABEL CIRCA 1950’S-1960’S
This charming vintage British teddy bear measures approximately 14 inches in height, and probably dates from sometime between 1950-1960.
Made by Deans Childsplay Toys, he retains ¾ of his original manufacturers label (which is stitched into the left side seam of his body). His label is white cloth with green woven script.
He is made of mohair which is in excellent clean condition and retains 100% coverage. He is stuffed with kapok which is still very firmly and evenly distributed. All four of his original dark brown felt paw pads are in very good condition. He has (original) stitched in amber glass eyes and original black vertically stitched nose and inverted v shaped muzzle. He retains his original bell in his left ear. He is an extremely clean little bear with no strange or musty odours of any sort.
Other than the fact that ¼ of his makers label is missing I cannot fault him in any way, he is in excellent condition and is a charming example of an all time favourite vintage British teddy bear.
