Lovely large antique fully jointed bear stuffed with wood wool. This bear has a pronounced hunchback design. Bear measures 22 inches (56cm) from ear to bottom of feet, or 16 inches (41cm) tall when in seated position.
I bought this bear from an antiques shop 6 years ago and sadly selling due to making space. This bear has not been on display since I bought him and has been stored safely in a box. This bear had photos accompanying him which show the bear with his original owner Gladys in 1912, so I know the bear is at least 106 years old now, if not older, and dates pre world war 1. These photos will be included with the bear.
The bear has signs of wear due to age where the fur has worn away, particularly the right leg paw and right hand paw (all pictured) which could be restored as desired or displayed as is, as no stuffing is coming out.
Grab yourself a lovely antique item. This bear has survived two world wars and has a lot of history behind it.
