LARGE OLD STEIFF BEAR C.1950SAdorable large old loved Steiff bear a real old character with much age charm and the sweetest face. He is from the 1950’s a large bear standing at 16″ he is lovely and stocky. Obviously been very well loved and a true friend to his previous owners who have really cared for him over the decades. His nose stitching has mummy repairs that are well done to give him a full nose as some of his had worn over the years its well done and neat. His felt paw pads are original and very good for his age. he has stitched claws, glass eyes. is fully jointed. wood wool stuffing. Lost all his ID and button now but is clearly Steiff and guaranteed to be so and will come with his certificate/receipt from us confirming this. his tilt growler mostly doesn’t work but now and then if you encourage it you can hear it. For his age has has a decent amount of mohair coverage still with overall age thinning see photos and some colour lightening to his fur over the years you can see a shade varience in his two ears in some lights – the left one really just retains more of his original colour and has not seen so much sunlight over the years. If you love your old bears and old Steiff bears with tons of character this is a bear to consider he is charming. Please only bid or buy him if you wont mind he is old, loved and nothing like a new bear now, thank you x
