Charming large antique teddy bear of American origin, dating from 1910s-1920s
made of gold mohair, stuffed with wood-wool throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got original boot-button eyes,
black horizontally stitched nose,slot-in ears,
original well loved felt pads have been recovered with felt,
there’s no claws stitching,high hump and chest,
has got original inoperative cardboard growler in tummy,dressed in antique red cotton dress.
Approx. 27″ (68 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in antique condition with general wear, thinning and balding, few threadbare spots; joints a bit loose on limbs, but still holds pose.
