Large rare cat by Alpha Farnell dating from the 1930s. I believe these cats are sometimes musical, this one just seems to have had a squeaker, can’t find any evidence of a music box, key hole etc.
He has blue eyes, nose and mouth stitching, as far as I know these are all original. Only his head is jointed. He has a long tail.
He has age related areas of fur loss and thinning. He has a large area of fur loss were his squeaker has been repeatedly pressed. He is firmly stuffed with woodwool.
This lovely cat sits and displays well. He measures approx. 15″ from tip of ear to feet and 18″ from top of head to base of tail. Have photographed him with a soup can to give some idea of size.
