Lovely rare old early example of a Chiltern teddy bear, I believe was made during the 1930s.
He is made from a lovely blond coloured curly mohair – mainly on his head, very sparse everywhere else!! – Please see photos for description.
As you can see from the photos, he is in need of some tlc as his kapok stuffing in his body has become rather compacted over the years and he could do with a little re-furb and a bit more stuffing!!
Despite this, he has the most gorgeous face with his original clear glass eyes with black painted backs and original stitched nose with the longer outer stitches and black stitched mouth. His head is stuffed with wood wool.
He has the remains of his three black claws on his paws and has the remains of his cloth pads.
