This bear would have originally had a draw string in the back but was lost around 1970. This bear has been in my family for over 60 years and is in amazing condition. Small rip bottom and top paw see photos
This is a lovely old Irish Tara Toys teddy bear circa 1950s.Teddy is made from pale golden mohair and is firmly stuffed with woodwool and kapok. She is fully jointed and she has rexine pads and paws which do show some age-related wear. Teddy no longer has her label but she has the distinctive and original ‘Tara’ triangular nose and mouth stitching and original amber and black glass eyes. She is fitted with a pull-string music box ( not working no string )Teddy is a large and heavy bear measuring 22″ tall. She has a good covering of mohair,with a few areas of thinning on her head and body.
