Eric: Lovely Old Antique Teddy
Eric is a very old teddy bear, probably made in Germany or America around 1905-10.He’s a super chappie with incredibly long, straight arms, and huge narrow feet. His ears are set on top of his head, and are stitched on (not cut in). He’s got beautiful boot button eyes and a lovely pointy muzzle with just the remains of his nose stitching which gives him the look of having a moustache – how dapper!Eric has lost a lot of his short mohair over the past 100 or years but he’s still got plenty left. He’s also managed to hang on to most of his claw stitching on both his feet (did I mention they are HUGE) and his paws.At some stage in his life his pads have all been re-covered in cotton but at the bottom of his left foot I can just make out a small amount of the original felt underneath. these must have been re-covered a long time ago as Eric has holes in both hands. He stands around 40cm tall and is fully stuffed with woodwool, and inside his fat tummy is a clunky old growler that now just rattles. All in all Eric’s a charming little bear, who’s looking for a new home in time for Christmas. He’s pictured with his long-term teddy pal “Ernie” (and our cheeky moggy!), who is available to purchase separately in my other listings.
All offers considered and I always combine postage costs where applicable. Any questions please message me :-)
