English Chiltern Teddy Bear 1930s. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class. A very poorly ted sympathetically brought back to life. This teddy had had its head ripped apart by a dog probably! Both ears and one eye was missing plus numerous holes and chunks missing on his head. In places it was fragile! I have had a go at replacing and repairing the lost ears and bare patches! I originally bought the bear with the intention of ditching the head and using the body but had a change of heart! Its a good early Chiltern, no labels but unmistakably from that English firm!! Pads and paws are velvet and in fairly good condition .There are some bald patches overall but on the whole condition is not too bad! As always, if you want perfect this bear is not for you, if you want character, he is a great example!! Hes looking great now with a vintage scarf! I havent changed the colour of the bear but washed him after Id finished the work! The last photo is the nearest colour of him! I think he is from the Hugmee Range, they have the wide flatter faces!
