This beautiful old girl is Emilia – an old 1930’s Merrythought bear complete with rusty ear button and foot-label. She is 16 inches tall and fully jointed with a non-working squeaker. Her pads are original linen and in good condition with no holes. She is a mix of woodwool and kapok stuffed and has lost a lot of mohair with smatterings remaining – some of her fabric has also darkened with age. She has a beautiful face with a gentle smile – her nose and mouth have been re-stitched – and she has old replacement eyes. She has been well loved during her life and is a beautiful old soul in need of a home. She comes in her lovely old dress complete with pretty necklace and brooch and is quite the lady! A beautiful bear who will not disappoint – I think she is exquisite! xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
