~ Edward – 1930s Chad Valley Magna Teddy Bear
This is Edward. He’s a lovely old boy! He dates to the 1930’s and was made by the British company Chad Valley. He measures around 21 inches tall, is fully jointed and stuffed with kapok and woodwool. He has been loved as can be seen, so has some wear, and has had a little darning to his pads at the wrist joints, but they are completely original!!! (which is lovely to see as Magna’s often have replacements/ big holes holes)Edward also retains his original facial and claw stitching, label to his foot and very loud squeaker in his tum!Edward wears his own vintage shirt and feels handsome amongst other teds. He’s now looking for that lovely person who has a gap in their hug for a cuddly teddygent .. and maybe some ladyteds to partner up with ;-) He’s shown here with his other friends who are also looking for a new home!
