Early 20th c. Jointed Mohair Hump & Growler Teddy Bear, Chad Valley / Steiff Era
DIMENSIONS: Approximately 20 inches long
ITEM DETAILS: This is a very old, very well loved mohair bear which has a long nose, a slight hump, jointed limbs and head and a non working growler. His hands and feet need attention as you can see, and he has been repaired before, a long time ago, but this reveals he is filled with wood-wool. Not sure who made him, but he bears (no pun intended..) similarities to Steiff and Chad Valley bears from this early period. The photos convey his condition well, and as always there’s a low start and no reserve so happy bidding!
