I am back downsizing my collection of bears, this time I am having to look at my bigger bears I ‘m afraid, I would keep them all but need to downsize a lot ! This is Charlie he is a 1950’s Chad Valley with his label on his left foot, the label has faded. He is 24″ tall , 5 way jointed, all good, his mohair is excellent, a small bare patch on the top of his right arm and his filling is a little bit thin there ,probably where he was carried around by his child friend many years ago and a couple of very small bare patches but in all his coat is thick and bright. His pads are a suede type material, his right foot has been recovered, the others are fine with just age markings on the suede. He has big brown eyes and a good Chad nose in black stitching. I have had him for about 15yrs, I will be sorry to see him go but I have 4 of these big chad boys and one had to go. I will be putting more on over the next week so please keep looking. My home is smokefree.
