This is Boo, a darling mohair Steiff bear with button and cloth tags, probably 20 to 30 years old.
At 15″ tall he is a good size, with large brown and black glass eyes which also have a little airbrushed detail around them.
His nose and mouth are hand stitched and his mohair is fairly long and shaggy. His design is very much traditional with very long arms and big feet and slight hump.
His EAN number is printed in the front of his yellow label which means he pre dates Sept 2000, but similar bears of this design seem to date to the very early 1990s hence my estimate of his age. The EAN number reads 010354.
He is in excellent unworn, clean and fresh smelling condition and his only tiny flaws are that the outer edge of each of his two yellow cloth labels are very slightly frayed, and if you shake him he appears to have a non working growler in his tummy. A beautiful vintage bruin.
