Want to keep all my bears and buy more but until I win the lottery….Here is a very rare lucky mascot teddy bear cat, very rare as they were made by Farnell British companyand were given to soldiers from their sweethearts, to put in their top pocket for luck, going to fight in WW1 in France, in the trenches and across France. This little cat has seen and experienced many things as it was tucked up looking out the top of the soldiers pocket, as he fought his way across the land.The mascots were made so that they looked up at their soldierout of the top pockets.Farnell also made little bears, rabbits and teddy bearsat that time and wives and girlfriends bought them to give to their loved one.What a tale they could tell and some never came back and some were brought back by another soldier to give back to the deceased loved ones ..Here is a lucky black cat only 3.5″ tall in very good condition for his age,he arrives with an original hand made silk post cardthat soldiers would send back to England,this one is in excellent condition bought to give to a dear sister all hand sewn”white heather for luck”.Fully pin jointed, no fading to mohair and very good covering.Both tiny green glass eyes are there and the teeny red cross stitch of the nose and mouth.I`m sure you will absolutely love this tiny very rare ted!
