This is a very early antique chad valley teddy bear. It still has the original button in the ear which reads Chad valley British Hygienic toys. The label on the foot also says Hygienic toys made in England Chad Valley co ltd. The bear is quite small measuring 11 inches. He is stuffed with kapok. The squeaker is still in its tummy. The paws have been sewn up because the original felt has deteriorated and the left food is missing is felt and is showing the kapok, Fully jointed, All complete with maximum loss of fur which makes it more attractive. There is a small black mark on the back seam. Features pefect, but i think the glass eyes are wrong. I think the button could be either celluloid or tin, but not sure. It is a green blue colour.
