Antique vintage old teddy bear.This is Penelope.She was born in the 1930’s and she is English, probably made by Chad Valley according to an evaluation.Most all of her golden mohair has faded away with age and left her bald.She is 11 inches tall, 5 way jointed, with original button eyes and a stitched nose and mouth. She has original stitching on one foot with four claws and worn stitching on the other 3.Her pads are a light colour, probably originally cream, and as you can see in the photos, they are fairly worn, and a bit grubby.Her body is soft stuffed with kapok with a firm crunchy head of wood wool.The dress she is wearing is not an original, but I liked her in it, so will send it along.Please take a look at my other items .
