What a beauty! This is a wonderful Hand Made french enameled Metal bedstead in a silvered duck egg blue colour. The bed dates from around the 1920s, but I have newly made the removable covers and hangings for it with great care.
The cover and hangings are made from a Liberty print fabric, and include a grey linen style mattress with liberty print ties to secure it to the bedstead, a small pillow, and a cover sheet with a gathered frilled edge.
The Canopy is easily removed by lifting the canopy pole from its circular fixings. The canopy edges have also been bound in the liberty fabric to bring the whole scheme together.
I am really proud of this piece and hope to see it go to a good home where it can be fully enjoyed by someone!
