This beautiful antique teddy bear quilt is hand embroidered. It is signed in top corner ‘Elizabeth’ and a surname and signed in bottom right hand corner by Mabel Grindley (I believe that is the surname) It is also dated 1907 so it is over one hundred and ten years old.
The quilt measures approximately 38 inches wide by 44 inches long. It is not stuffed but is backed in red cotton fabric as shown in the photos. It has red edging around the squares. It features five days of the week with a teddy bear on each day doing various activities. As an antique item it has some age related marks as you would expect and which can be seen in the photos, please bear this in mind.
I have owned this beautiful quilt for some years and it is now time for someone else to own and enjoy it.
