Phoebe is an Antique Steiff Bear dating from circa 1920, she still retains her Steiff Ff button in her left ear, she has brown glass eyes and is woodwool filled, she is 5 way jointed and is in strong condition but she does have overall wear and bald patches to the mohair. She is 12″ tall but because she is of very slim build does not appear that big (she isn’t standing completely upright on the picture with the tape measure) she is next to a can of Guinness in one picture for size comparison (she hasn’t drunk any!!) Her nose area is a bit scruffy looking caused no doubt by too many kisses over the years, her claw stitching is present not sure if original though, 2 claws are missing on the left paw. Her arms are very long and there are repairs to all of her 4 pads. She wears a vintage knitted red dress and bootees lovingly made for her many years ago by a previous owner, she also wears pink knickers. She will come to her new owner wearing a very old bell around her neck and her “I’m the guy” badge (I’m the guy that put the wish in wishbones). Phoebe is a sweet Antique Steiff Bear and I would say is in overall good condition for her age of almost 100 years, she would make a very nice addition to anyone’s collection.
