Very rare 1910-20’s Einco or Farnell, googley eyes, pink mohair plush, jointed dog. Looks a little like Pip Dog from Pip Squeak and Wilfred!
This unusual jointed dog soft toy was possibly made by Einco or Farnell and dates to the early part of the 20th Century. He looks a little like the Farnell ‘Pip’ dogs from
the Pip, Squeak & Wilfred Daily Mirror cartoon except he has short bent legs and
very long feet, googley eyes like the Einco tubby dogs and pale pink mohair plushwith a cream colour muzzle. I have never seen another dog quite like this one sinceI first started collecting and trading 15 years ago and he would make a wonderful
and rare companion to any hug of bears and soft toys.
He measures 15″ tall and is in very good conditon with all his original features intactand just a little playwear as you would expect from a 100 year old toy. There are a
couple of small bare spots here and there and his plush has faded a little over the yearsand he has a non working squeaker in his tail but nothing any more serious than that!
