Adorable antique German Steiff character mohair teddy bear, dating from 1910-1915,
made of blonde mohair,
hard stuffed with excelsior throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got original boot-button eyes,pronounced up-turned muzzle,
original horizontal nose stitching, inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original well loved felt pads have been recovered with matching felt,
four replacement claws stitching to paws and five to feet,
hump,working squeaker in his chest,final seam runs to the front,button missing.
Teddy Bear is approx. 9 1/2″ (24 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in good antique condition with some general wear, thinning and balding patches, pads recovered; joints are fine.
