My husband bought me this beautiful bear from Hungerford Antique Arcade a few years ago. It was sold as a Steiff but it isnt. Its either early English or German. Dates to very early 1900s and is on beautiful condition. Head is a little wobbly but it gives him that beautiful inquisitive expression.
mohair is in lovely soft condition. Body is firm, joints move. There is a small seam hole under one arm . Tummy rattles but no growl or squeak remains. Legs a little wobbly and old but all in all a beautiful example of a very old bear. Hes a corker!
He measures just under 16 inches tall. From a smoke-free Home.Any questions, please ask.

He comes with his museum sale label which is signed by Wendy Lewis of the Tetbury Teddy Bear Museum which closed its doors in 1994.
