This fine old Chad Valley teddy bear possibly pre dates 1920’s because he is part cork filled, plus he has other characteristics of their early teddy bears.
He also has a rather solemn expression to his sweet face, but this might be partly down to his eyes which I don’t think are original, and one looks a bit bigger than the other. This might be a bit ‘picky’ of me because he has actually ‘survived’ in fairly good condition for his age.

You will see that at 23″, he is a fairly big teddy bear, with a pronounced hump to his back, sturdy feet and he is filled with wood-wool, cork and a bit of Kapok. His lead tilt growler works but it can a bit temperamental, so mainly makes a noise when he is thumped, or shaken!
