This wonderful Antique French or German Toy Cat dates to around 1900 or thereabouts.When his tummy is pressed (above the front leg) his mouth opens and he squeaks when you remove your thumb from his tummy.
His fur is a plush fabric with a velvet like appearance.He has green & black glass eyes, both ears, hand painted nose, mouth and claws.
He stands approximately 8.5 inches high and he weighs approximately 141 grams.He wears a smart red ribbon around his neck-the ribbon is probably a later addition.He has no whiskers but I cannot find evidence that there ever were any.

The Cat has been very well loved and cared for and will look wonderful amongst any similar collection.
