Meet Amy a cute early Merrythought bear. Amy is 16″ tall from the top of head to her heel. She has lost nearly all of her mohair, retaining the most on her legs, she has her cardigan to keep her warm. She has linen pads with remnants of claw stitches remaining, her pads are in good condition. She has glass eyes and stitched nose and mouth,I believe these are original. Amy is five way disc jointed,all working well. She has her original label and button in her ear, this has lost its celluloid cover. She dates from the 1930/40s. Her tummy has some stitching, probably a previous owner accessing the non-working squeaker. She is stuffed with woodwool in head and kapok in body.
A cute little bear with typical age related wear for her age.
Amy is now looking for a new home and hug.
