This beautiful antique/vintage black mohair Scottie dog, with original movin head mechanism, was probably made in the 1930’s.
He has lovely glass eyes, painted on their backs and seems to have retained virtually all his mohair and best of all, his turning head movement is working really well.
I know that Steiff made a Scottie dog very like mine, but I don’t think mine is by Steiff, but he is a quality, well made toy.
He measures about 15″ x 10″ and is filled with wood-wool.
