Here we have sweet William, another one of my bears looking for a new home due to downsizing my collection.
William is a 1930s Chiltern Hugmee bear in fabulous condition for his age. He appears to be all original, he has glass eyes, stitched mouth and nose, his nose has the early upper stitches at each corner. His linen paw pads are in very good condition. He has three claw stitches on each paw pad and four on one foot pad and three on the other – one is missing, two could do with stitching back in place. William is five-way disc jointed, his head is a little wobbly. So many bears of this age are almost bald, William is an exception, his mohair is lovely and thick with no bald areas just some thinning on his back, also he is lovely and clean. William is stuffed with woodwool in his head and kapok in the rest of him. He is 20″ from head to heel.
This cheeky looking sweet bear is looking for a new home – he is a very reluctant sale.
