A 1930’s Chad Valley Co Ltd British Hygienic Toys Mohair Teddy Bear in a pale golden colour. You can still see snatches of the original mohair in places but this charming, well worn, and thoroughly loved little fella has been hugged and kissed bare. He has been a childs treasured confidante and companion to many a playtime and bedtime.He has the original wood wool stuffing which has been lost in several places leaving him a little slumpy but he still gives a delightful hug.He stands approx 19″ tallAs well as being loved bare there is further evidence of how much he has been treasured and cared for with a few stitched repairs over time and he has a small hole in his forehead and leg where his stuffing can be seen. He has a growler, though this no longer works, glass eyes and jointed arms and legs with leather paws and the red on white Chad Valley makers label that reads ‘Hygienic toys by Chad Valley Co Ltd., Made in England’. He now needs a new retirement home to sit and wile away his time gossiping with other old bears.
