Rare 1920’s Teddy Toy Company pink mohair dog.Original Softanlite hang tag label & patent number
This fabulous little pink mohair soft toy dog was made by the Teddy Toy Company in the 1920’s and is in good condition with all his original features intact and the rare original hang tag label as shown in the photos. Teddy Toy Company were only in existence for a fairly short period oftime and they patented the ‘Softanlite’ stuffing, which was essentially kapok, in 1920.
This little dog is unjointed and kapok! stuffed with painted back glass eyes and black stitchedcotton nose and mouth. He has a good coverage of his pink mohair with slight thinning and a fewsmall bare spots but I would estimate he has retained a good 95% coverage overall and it is stillan unfaded bright pink colour. He measures approximately 9″ long from nose to tail with a blue silk ribbon, brass bell and hang tag label and even has a working squeaker in his bottom.
