This is Yello, a wonderful vintage upright standing lion with all of his original IDs intact including ear tag and button and card chest tag.
He is 13″ tall with glass eyes, a hand stitched nose and mouth with contrasting border, and a wonderful shaggy mane.
I’m not sure but with a name like “Yello” he may well have been based on the Cowardly Lion of Wizard of Oz fame.
His EAN number is 6212/30.
He is in excellent clean, unworn and fresh smelling condition, and would make a very interesting addition to any old bear or Steiff animal collection.
