A rare, and ever so cute, faded blue velveteen Farnell Dinkie dog designed by Chloe Preston c.1920s. In a very well-loved condition, Dinkie’s original colour is clearly visible around his legs and belly seams, as well as inside one ear. He measures 9cms (3.5″) high, and in the past his jointed head has been sewn down so it no longer swivels. His eyes too, have been replaced with plastic ones, and his nose stitching possibly re-done. Dinkie has a few stitched repairs, including his felt tongue and velvet tail. He’s stuffed with kapok and his legs are internally wired. Showing patchy ‘fur’ loss, someone kindly knitted Dinkie a coat many years ago, decorated with a button and bell. Underneath it, his back is in good condition, though still faded. Overall, he’s a lovable little character, in need of a forever home. Thanks for looking.
