Here’s Winston, an amusing Schuco Yes/No elephant c.1950s. Winston is all original and stands 13 cms (5″) high. Made of tinplate covered in grey mohair, he has a wonderful long bendy trunk with a red felt tip, and white felt tusks. His eyes are black glass with white rims, and his eyebrows are airbrushed. Fully-jointed, when Winston’s tail is turned he swivels his head from side-to-side and up and down. He’s in super condition, apart from some slight yellowing to his fur at the back, which is more pronounced in his pics than in real life. A decidedly cute character.
