Wonderful Farnell teddy bear.Dating circa 1920-1930.Measuring a rare large size 27″ from pads to tip of head.Five way jointed all joints are firm and turn.Please note there is some settlement to the neck area which gives teddy an endearing,slightly slumpy posture.Glass eyes which appear to be original.Stitched nose and mouth intact.Original felt pads with no holes or repairs,there are some small marks to the felt.Five original claw stitches to feet with original webbed clawing to hands.Mohair is overall very good with some minor overall thinning and minor areas of wear.Please note the backs of both ears are replacements,they are a pretty good match however may benefit from resetting as slightly wonky.When teddy arrived at my house and was unpacked I noticed a very slight cigarette smell which was ONLY evident on the top of his head.I have been airing him and any odour has pretty much gone,I know how important this is to collectors.The rest of his body is absolutely fine.This lovely bear has gorgeous proportions and reminds me very much of the original Farnell teddy bear who resides in New York.Shipping U.K. only due to weight over 2 kilograms when packed.Any questions please message me.I am open to offers.
