Extremely well-loved teddy bear from the 1950s or possibly early 1960s. (I rescued him in the early 1980s when he was already in this condition & he definitely looks earlier than the toys I grew up with in the 1960s.)
I’m not sure of his make, but hopefully the following information will help someone to identify him:body & head stuffed with excelsior; limbs with something softer (I investigated a tiny corner and it looks like the wadding made from recycled textiles that’s used in upholstery)
14 inches tallno moveable joints (but arms are formed into a ready-made hug!)
glass amber & black eyes
very chunky legs with smaller arms
no separate paws
a sewn-on felt (?) rather than stitched nosewhite nylon (?) fur, but the fabric underneath is very pink in places so I’m wondering whether he was originally pink and white.
