Condition is Used. Soft body 16″ long with a wood shavings filled head. He had a squeaker which has long since deteriorated as it would have been partly made of rubber. His brown eyes are still firmly attached (although he’s short-sighted so has to wear glasses) and I remember him being a Chad Valley bear although the label on his right foot has disappeared. He was white when he was new in 1950 so now 70 years old but very clean (from a smoke free house) and still wearing his yellow pyjamas. His hands and feet pads are brown velvet with vestiges of the black threads denoting his ‘fingers’. I have attached an advert from Woman magazine from 1956 for just such a Chad Valley bear. It says “Make sure it’s a Chad Valley Teddy Bear. The eyes don’t come out”. Obviously the fur is worn in places but after 70 years he would be a bit thin on top. To save postage you can collect in person – Desborough Northants. Postage is by Royal Mail 2nd class. Any question please don’t hesitate to ask.
