Wendy Boston is a well know designer and creator of Teddies .During WW11 In Wales she began making non jointed teddies and cuddly animals with any fabrics that she could find.
When her husband returned from war ,he realized the demand for these huggable characters, due to the production shortfall created by the war.
They then went onto develop and patent the first lock in safety eye for teddies.
In 1954 the arrival of the first fully washable, non jointed, foam filled, plush teddy was born .
In 1960 Wendy Boston Playsafe Toys Ltd was registered as a company.
Deny Fisher Toys brought the company out ,but continued with the Wendy Boston name.
This adorable bright yellow plush teddy is in excellent condition for its age, this would make a wonderful addition to any vintage collection.
Height is approx 50 cm and width with arms out is approx 42cm.
