Meet Bing, so called because the lady who sold him to me was sure that is what he is, a Bing toy. Whatever he is, hes a very old little dog on a metal framework, with metal wheels (which all run smoothly). His remaining fur (more on one side than the other – see pics) looks like it was tipped mohair in a light grey/white colour edging towards brown – it mostly looks grey, now. He has quite a few bald areas – as you will see from the photos – and most of his remaining fur is down one side. He has a long nose, with what looks like original mouth stitching and his dark amber glass eyes look like theyre original. He is very solidly stuffed – feels like straw or wood wool, and he has some of his original claw stitching, too. He has the remains of his original bow around his neck – and his neck is jointed and moving quite smoothly. He has an old string tied to the frame to pull him along – not sure if its original, but its certainly old! From the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail he is 13 1/2 long, and from the bottom of his wheels to the top of his head he is 10. From wheel to wheel, hes 6 wide, but Bing himself is 4 wide. I can easily believe he is a Bing toy, or certainly of the same era – his metal frame, in particular, is of a very old style. He will be well packed for delivery.Really sorry, will only post within the UK.
